Alright, I truly don’t understand how used car salesmen sell cars.
We went tonight to a Toyota dealer in town to see if our STUFF (i.e. carseats and stroller) would fit into a Camry or a Scion xB.
So we’re looking for a 2002 Camry. They only had a 2004. I asked, what I thought would be a simple question. “Does the 2004 have the same hiproom as the 2002?” Sellsman: “I don’t know.” I ask, when was the redesign. Sellsman: “I don’t know.” Then I remembered that the redesign came in 2003 with standard ABS. I’m thinking to myself…what DO you know buddy?!!!
Then we went over to see the Scion xB. I like the call it the box. I find it intriguing that a box shape like that would get such great mileage. So I ask the guy, “What’s the drag coeffient?” Sellsman: “I don’t know.”
ARRRGGGGGHHH!!! You would think if you’re trying to sell a car you would know at least some basic spec information. Or why a car would get such good mileage. OH BROTHER!
So, I guess it just means more work on our part…I’ll start compiling the spec list for the different years of the cars we want…
P.S. If anyone has a Civic or a Corolla, do you know if 3 car seats will fit in the back?
