On the Fourteenth Day of Christmas…
…Happy Epiphany!

What a blessed day! I’m sure you’re all wondering who got to be royality for the day. Well readers, alas the good Lord blessed me with a “day off”. I hid baby Jesus in the cake and Adam got to cut and choose his piece of the King cakes. He impatiently ripped apart his piece to find no little plastic Jesus. The beautiful carrot cake looked like a tornado hit it.
This morning we went to mass at St. Louis to a beautiful homily for Epiphany. The new chapel is finally open and so is the new Adoration chapel! It is simply beautiful.
Adam did the cooking and cleaning today. For dinner we went out to Steak and Shake way in deep south Austin. It’s a favorite of my beloved husband from Indiana, and it just opened up last month.
We came home and blessed our house with the traditional Epiphany House blessing and re-inscribed the year above our front door. The rest of the evening will be spent watching the last part of the movie, Pope John Paul II with John Voight.
Oh! And I finally got all our Christmas-Epiphany pictures uploaded to the gallery.
