Texas Mountain Laurels
The one great thing about this time of year is that our Texas Mountain Laurels – or more precisely Texas Mescalbean – come into bloom.
People regularly compare the strong scent of the flower to kool-aid. Personally I recall childhood memories of stuffing my mouth with a wad of grape-flavored Big League Chew.
