Trip to the Winery
Today we finally cashed in on a tour of the Fall Creek Vineyard we won a few years back at the Texas Alliance for Life silent auction. Sharon and Thérèse were both a bit under the weather as Fulton’s virus is making its way through the household, but we didn’t want to reschedule the trip for the third time. The camera’s batteries had died earlier so I apologize for not having photos. I wish I could tell you it was a memorable experience, but we did have some fun doing our best Gary Vaynerchuck impressions. My best review (and Sharon agreed with my assessment) was for the 2005 Caché: “I’m getting a taste of fancy hotel soap.”

Wine. I miss wine. Told Ry that we have to have sangria at the baptism party for pumpkin – my favorite!!
Only 2 more months until wine…
It was nice outing…if there’s a next time we’ll have to stop by Longhorn caverns with the kids and even by Lake Buchanan. And we’ll drag along some wine lovers like Mrs. Dobson.
I think the VAY-NER-CHUCK would tell us not to quit our day jobs.
But the winery didn’t have a spit bucket! So we’ll have to bring along our own next time. Giving those red wines a good “sniffy snif” was like sniffing a bottle of rubbing alcohol. It reminded me of putting alcohol on the babies to dry out their umbilical cord after they were born.
