“Don’t you have enough to do?”
That was the question that a random woman asked at Lowes earlier this week as I was walking with the kids to check out. They were, of course, loaded up with a bunch of painting supplies I needed to finish up this week’s home improvement project. I can’t say that I’m offended or disagree…she’s probably right…but I felt a need to use my creative juices!
In anticipation for Gianna’s move upstairs to her new sleeping quarters with Therese, and Adam’s pending jaw surgery next month, I figured I’d better get on the move. Here is the girls’ re-painted room. It used to be blue (painted by the previous owner–sorry no before picture). Now…it’s Pixie Dust Pink and Hundred Acre Wood Green with Enchanted Ride flowers and Flutterby Butterfly butterflies!

I had to make the stencils by hand. It was much easier than I thought. Here’s a close up.

I wish I could say this was an original idea, but alas it is not. I modified this to fit our budget, my beloved’s lack of interest in helping, and my desire to finish this in a reasonable amount of time. I started Sunday afternoon and finished this afternoon–mostly finished, I just need a few touch ups here and there. Adam was very supportive, though, and I must say the best thing he did was not say a word as he was helping me clean up a paint spill on Therese’s bed. He’s the best!
