Home Barber

So for about 4 years now, I have been practically begging Adam to let me cut his hair.  Four years!  Ever since I started cutting the kids’ hair, every time we’d go to get Adam’s hair cut, I’d watch very closely.  Really, it didn’t look THAT hard.  My mom used to do my hair until I moved out of the house and went to college!

So after 4 years of begging, he finally let me do it… about 2 months ago.  I didn’t do any research. I just cut his hair off the cuff.  It wasn’t until he started using terms like, “rounding the edges”,” texturing”, and “blending,”  that I realized there’s more to cutting hair than simply being scissor happy.  But gracious as my beloved is, he let me cut his hair anyway, and it came out good enough.

After the fact, I got smart and decided to “google” these terms.  And behold, I came across Expert Village! Score!  A video on how to cut men’s hair!  Once again I ask, What did we ever do without the internet!  Thanks to the video and the fact that my husband’s bushy hair is forgiving of my learning curve, I cut his hair again this morning saving us $15.  Much much better!

You did TOO good a job on his haircut. All the women were ooo-ing and ahhh-ing over his dashing new look in the office this morning. I had to ask them to keep their cat-calls and whistling to a minimum. It IS a workplace afterall.

My wife’s always cut my hair, ever since we were dating. It was also part of our marriage agreement.

At home here while the kids were in school and even after it was Ben who was giving the haircuts and actually he was and is doing a pretty good job. He even gave me a few. My wife would never cut my hair even though I asked her to. At home when I was growing up my aunt Sis would come over and give us 3 boys what they call a buzz haircut. I wanted my hair to grow out, but my dad and mom had different ideas on the farm. We could stay cool and get more work done. Don’t spread this around but when I was a very young boy growing up I got the electric clippers out and gave myself a haircut. Ole aunt Sis had to make a special trip over to our house to even my hair out. I remember I was almost bald which by today standards could have been the in look. Nay, my head is not the Kojack special.
    Good job Sharon.

I would never cut my husband’s hair because if he didn’t like it, I would never hear the end of it! Better to hear him cripe about the barber than about me!!!
