Care Calendar

 A few people have asked how they can help out while Adam is  recovering.  Our friend Thuy set up a Care Calendar for us at:  www.carecalendar.org

Right now it has spaces to sign up to bring meals.  I know there is at least one follow-up appointment that I will have to drive Adam to until he’s ready to drive (i.e. off the narcotic medications).  I prefer not to take the kids to the appointments if I can help it.

Our friend Bianca asked about things Adam does that she and her husband might be able to help with.  Adam distracts the kids while I get things done around the house.  So anyone who wants to rough house with the kids or just play and read to them for an hour while I get the household in order is always welcome.  He also does the yard work, in-house tech support and car maintenance.   The cars should be ok; the lawn will need mowing in two weeks, and the new copier may need to be installed if he doesn’t get to it today or tomorrow.   Other than that, he’s my adult contact after a day with the kids, but he’ll probably not be too chatty the first two weeks.
