First Vows

Congrats to my sister, Sr. Maria Kolbe, O.P. who made her first profession of vows this past Wednesday with the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. Sister took the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience for 3 years, after which she will make her permanent vows. It was also during this ceremony when she exchanged the white veil for black.

After a 3 week home visit, Sr. Kolbe will return to her community and take up studies at university to work towards her teaching degree. Congrats, Sister! We couldn’t be more happy for you!
