VBS

Today was the last day of Vacation Bible School for the kids. We didn’t have it at our parish, but we went to St. Alberts. The kids loved it. The kids learned about a different saint each day, did arts & crafts, and learned songs. Today the kids did a little presentation of the songs they learned and everyone had lunch together.

Unfortunately, my camera batteries died (ughh) before I could get Therese’s group. (I have a request in for a video camera that will probably have to wait until Christmas since the opportunity for Mother’s Day and my birthday has past.)

Here’s her group on stage. This was a nice growing opportunity for her. A opportunity to make new friends and learn in an environment without mom and dad.

Here’s Fulton’s group. Try not to laugh as hard as I did at our son.

On the way to watch and pick up the kids, I was thinking about one of the things I love most about them. You know my kids LOVE you, if when you walk in our house (or other location) and they run up to you, jump on you and/or give you the tightest hug ever while screaming your name. Perhaps there are more civilized ways for kids to great adult friends, but none more loving than this. So when I walked in with Muffin and sat front row center, (and later Adam joined us) Fulton was a little upset that he couldn’t come greet us. Hence the behavior in the video. Ahh…to love so to be rendered mute and know not what to do with yourself! I told him afterwards we should have asked for Fulton Sheen’s prayers for a better performance today!

  1. It wouldn’t let me watch the video . . . said I wasn’t a “friend.” :(

The video didn’t even show up on my screen – it was just a white square!

I had fun teaching your kids this week. It was great for me and Nate to have students that we know. I also *love* the hugs!!

Sorry. I’m not youtube savvy. I think I fixed the problem.

Yeah Fulton! Stick it to the man!

  6. Mom/Grandma says:

He is meant to be an orator, not an American Idol. ;)
Thanks for all the lovely postings!!

There is *nothing* better than a Gretencord family welcome. No matter how crummy my day is, walking in the door, being pounced on, with a chorus of “Lindsey! Lindsey! BINNNNNZIE is HERE!” makes everything all better! And it got even better when Muffin started, too! ;-)

  8. Uncle Marc says:

Lindsey gets Binnnnzie? That’s awesome! I’m uncle Barky and Misty is Aunt Bisty!

  9. Lindsey says:

Yep, the Fultonian “B” at the beginning of your name is the highest form of Fulton love. And when I was tucking him into bed last night, he told me that my name is *actually* Lindsey Bagnaschi Gretencord. Heh heh. He thought my last name was pretty hilarious.

Fulton!! That was a great video. I was actually so proud of him for staying on stage! Love that boy! The kids are getting sweeter and more adorable every time I see new pictures and video. I’m missing you guys and hope one day the kids will run to me for hugs…and mispronounce my name in a cute kid-ish way. That would be the ultimate…

Fulton is sooo big now! He is soo cute!!! I haven’t seen him in a while. I can’t wait to see you guys soon. (And to see the new baby!)
