Newman’s Castle

So there’s a castle in the middle of nowhere heading toward Houston. Since Fulton is studying the middle ages this year. We opted to go to the castle instead of the Renaissance Festival this year. It is a privately owned home. Mr. Newman built it with his own two hands and invites people for tours. It is built complete with a moat, drawbridge, and catapult. The children were given swords and knighted. Since Adam was the most youthful man there, he was volunteered to raise and lower the drawbridge using a contraption that looked much like a hamster wheel. He was also volunteered to help set up the catapult. I do all the work and he has all the fun! 😉
